HD: "Helpdesk... may I help you?"
C: "Yes... my files is missing, I cannot find them!"

HD: "Where did you save your files previously?"
C: "I saved them in the Recycle Bin"

HD: ...angry... "Why do you want to save your files in the Recycle Bin?"
C: "This is because I notice that when files save in the Recycle Bin, it doesn't takes any disk space... nevermind lah those files not so important anyway!"

HD: "I can't help you recover those missing files now. How many files did you see in the Recycle Bin now? And How long have you been saving files in the Recycle Bin?"
C: "There quite a lot... I have been saving files in the Recycle Bin back few years ago, there isn't any missing files until now."

HD: "Can you quickly move all your files out of the Recycle Bin to your C Drive before more starts to go missing?"
C: "Nevermind lah... I still prefer to save them in the Recycle Bin, more convenient!"

HD: .. angry... "Good luck to you then, please don't call me again for missing files. Thank You!"

Mosquito Treatment

You have a lot of mosquitos in your bedroom? Try this. My friend send to me, i haven't try yet, but i'll try it soon and see if it really works!

So you don't like those pesky mosquitoes. Here's a tip that was given at a recent gardening forum. Â Put some water in a white dinner plate and add a couple drops of Lemon Fresh Joy dish detergent. Set the dish on your porch, patio, picnic table, park bench, or other outdoor area.

Not sure what attracts them, the lemon smell, the white plate colour, or what, BUT ... mosquitoes flock to it, and drop dead shortly after drinking the Lemon Fresh Joy/water mixture, and usually within about 10 feet of the plate.

TRY IT---it works just super! It may seem trivial, but it may also help to control mosquitoes around your home, (especially in areas where the West Nile virus is reaching epidemic proportions in mosquitoes, birds, and humans).

Heavy Rain with strong wind.....

Few days ago there was a big storm in the middle of the night....that was this tuesday night (wednesday strictly speaking) around 3am, the wind suddenly became very strong..it was actually howling~~ very scary

My room is just beside RH hardcourt, and i heard a loud sound, something drop because of the strong wind (found out it was the goal post). After the strong wind, it started raining, damn heavy rain...

Luckily few day before this rare "typhoon", i have done some precaution act to my blinder..hehe

Here it is...a simple method to prevent the blinder from flying up and making all the noise when they hitting each other... All i need is string, metal hook(any hook), hammer, scissors

I decided to share this information for those who cant stand the noise made by the blinder early in the morning or when you taking a nap...

1st step: Determine what is the height you want the string to be tied from the table. The height cant be too low or not the blinder will actually come off when a strong wind is blowing. If too high, when the wind blowing, the loose end will still hit each other and this will not solve any problem. So choose a right height that you think is the most suitable for your acceptable noise level..haha

2nd step: Hammer in the hook to the wall(sorry hall manager :p ), it is best if can get metal hook for concrete wall becuase they are much stronger to hold the string when st thoserong wind blowing. Can get them very cheap at $1 for 2 pairs.

3rd step: Tie the string across and infront the blinder on the hook at both side. Do not tie too tight as we need to leave some loose string for buffer when strong wind blow. If too tight, the blinder might just pull the string off the hook or even pull the hook out from the wall.

4th step: I used another string to pull the string which is horizontal and tie it to the window. Like this can triangulate the force so that when the main string is in tension, the hook is not holding all the force but instead the vertical string helps to lessen the load.

5th step: I tied a string in the middle section of the main string, same function as step 4, to help to hold some of the load when wind blow.

yeah~~ finish! and now, i can have my peaceful dream and no more irritating blinder noise....irritating!!

P/s: Thanks for Eng Kiat who provides the idea!

Tricks for Wang Wang

Some advice from Pei Pei, Kiat's friend.

Flying Wang Wang
1. click on the bag of doggy treats
2. put the treat on the top right hand corner of Wang Wang's space and click.
3. (Wang Wang will jump up to eat it in one nice gulp)
4. quickly! pick up another doggy treat and place it on the top left hand corner of Wang Wang's space and click.
5. quickly feed Wang Wang again on the top right
6. repeat the above steps for as long as u like

the result should be Wang Wang gliding across its space (instead of jumping), in and out of the space. if u r good and fast, Wang Wang might even disappear for a good 40 seconds!

Wobbly head
(not really a trick. i just like to do tt. haha)
u notice when u move ur mouse, Wang Wang's head will follow? well..... just make ur mouse go round and round and round Wang Wang's head. *end* i just think it is funny. :P

Mime Song

I thought I saw a man brought to life
He was warm, he came around like he was dignified
He showed me what it was to cry
Well you couldn’t be that man I adored
You don’t seem to know, don’t seem to care what your heart is for
But I don’t know him anymore
I don’t care, I have no luck, I don’t miss it all that much
There’s just so many things that I can’t touch, I’m torn

I’m all out of faith, this is how I feel
I’m cold and I am shamed lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed into something real
I’m wide awake and I can see the perfect sky is torn
You’re a little late, I’m already torn. torn.

Yulia is having her concert in Singapore today.
The performance will be held at UCC tonight 8pm.

In case you don't know who she is, here is the her website. "Moving to New Zealand to live, from Russia, just two years ago, this remarkable 18 year old has made short work in beginning what looks to be an astonishing career..."

I wanted to go for her concert one...but can't get any ticket(it's free)...so cannot go :( , i quite like her music.

Anyway, i 1st know about her from "Hooked" magazine by NUSSU. Then around nus, also see a lot of her poster. The poster is quite attractive(at least to me), partly because some other reason which i'll post in next post.

This is the poster around NUS. And now it is in my room...muahahaha

The story goes like this:
one day while i was walking to Fongseng for supper with my friend, i saw this poster at the notice board, i told my friend that i like that poster and thinking to take it back...but in the end never.

The next day, my friend (JW) said want to give me a surprise present..and voila! it is this poster..he said he "kop" from outside his lab in the middle of night when there is no one else there....he risk his dignity to take this poster...haha..i must treasure it liao! hah

Thanks JW!!

Freaking Bird

What is the name of this bird anyone?

I saw this bird in my hostel's comm hall last year. My friend saw it 1st and called me to bring camera down..

That was damn freaking, the bird will look at your direction wherever you walk...i manage to capture the side view while the bird looking at my friend.

It starts to turn to my side already~~ freak!
"something is looking at me when i want to go to toilet....freaking big eye..."My friend said.

It looks abit like the Kiwi, but we think the Kiwi cant possibly fly all the way from Aussie to singapore rite...or maybe because of that the bird can't fly anymore...did i mention that my friend said the bird wont fly even you try to chase it away?

FREAK!!
